A Trip To Richmond

On Saturday, Ella took a trip to Richmond to visit my aunt Jill and uncle Bobby. Jill and Bobby have lots of animals! They board and breed puppies, have a monkey, turtles, cats and probably a few things that I am forgetting. Ella was able to pet some of the Yorkies and even got a kiss from one of them. Here are a few pictures from the trip!

Ella's First Thanksgiving!

This past week was a very big week for Ella: it was her very first Thanksgiving! Although she was not old enough to enjoy all the yummy food, she did get to enjoy all her wonderful family! Being that my family is so LARGE, we have three places that we visit on Thanksgiving. Ella's first trip was to her Nanny's house where she visited with family members on her Nana's side of the family (the Bramel's). Everyone enjoyed getting to see Ella and how much she had changed. I enjoyed getting to draw a child's name for Ella to buy a Christmas gift for this year! Just one of the perks of being a mommy :) Here are a few pictures of Thanksgiving at Nanny's house.

Ella also got to venture out to her Granny's house where we ate Thanksgiving dinner with Kermie's family. It was Ava's first Thanksgiving too, but she actually got to enjoy the food! She definitely did :) We were able to take lots of funny pictures of the two of them! I'm sure Christmas will be just as much fun!!

Lastly, Ella was also able to attend Thanksgiving at her Great Grandma Cain's house on Sunday. We just missed some of my family from Ohio, so I was not able to catch them in a picture with Ella, but we will get one at Christmas! Enjoy!

Sunday was Jackie's birthday too! I have posted some pictures from the birthday party :) Happy Birthday Aunt Jackie!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! There will be a lot more pictures to come.

Nursing at Nine and A Half Weeks

Well, at nine and a half weeks, Ella decided she likes nursing after all! She has been successfully nursing for almost two days now. She latches well and even seems quite satisfied afterwards. It was kind of strange how we stumbled upon this new development, but I am so excited that we finally got it together. I think me being more laid back probably has a lot to do with it. Anyhow, it is nice not having to pump and feed. I will just stick to pumping at school. Yeah for Ella!

Ella and I tried nursing for about a week and then mommy started to get plugged up again. I think my body produces more milk than she was wanting to eat and I was still having to pump. I was not willing to get sick like the last time and sacrifice my milk supply, so I resorted back to pumping. Maybe I'm a quitter, but I think Ella would rather have a less stressed and healthy mommy! So, that's the latest.

Wednesdays At Granny's

On Wednesdays, Ella goes to visit her granny in Moon Lake. Her cousin Ava and aunt Jackie come down to visit on Wednesdays too. This week, it looked like they all had a really fun time. From what Granny said, Ava wanted to be anywhere Ella was. She even gave Ella kisses as you see from the pictures. I have posted a few pictures from Wednesday for you to enjoy.

The picture of Ella and I is from today at her Nanny and Grandbubby's house. Her Nanny said she napped very well today in her new pack and play! I am very proud :)

Checking In At 2 Months

Today was Ella's 2 month check up. I was very nervous about taking her to get all of her shots, but she did really well. She was sound asleep for most of her visit, but as soon as the first shot went in she started screaming. She only cried for a few minutes afterwards and has been a little fussy tonight. I had given her Tylenol before hand and we put ice packs on her legs to make it a little easier on her. I hope it helped! She weighed in at 10lbs. 13oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. She was in the 50th percentile :)

Also, today at school, we had our baby celebration. All of the new mommies came with their new babies. It was fun and I was glad they all got to see Ella! She looked so cute and was a very good girl :) I have posted a few pictures of the other babies as well as Miss Ella Chase.

This morning, Ella and her daddy had a great time playing around. Her daddy put her in her Bumbo seat for the first time! From the pictures, it looks like she really enjoyed it! She is so big! I know she enjoys the mornings with her daddy! He is such a fun daddy :)

Ella at 8 Weeks!

Ella is now eight weeks old! I just can't believe how big she has gotten. As you can tell from the pictures, she is getting "fatter" and longer everyday! She is so much fun with her laughing and moving about. This week she has shown more interest in her toys. She liked laying on her back under the play mat of her exersaucer. She loves to lay in her crib and stare at her mobile. She has even taken some naps in her crib. She still loves to be talked too and loves to eat:) Her feeding/sleeping schedule has changed slightly. She still eats about every 3 to 4 hours (any where from 3 to 5 oz.), but at night she is deciding she wants to sleep from 7 pm until 12 am and then not wake up until 4 am. She does not nap much during the day, so I have been working on that this past weekend. I am anxious to see somewhat of a set pattern develop within the next four weeks as she approaches 3 months.

This past week, Ella's Daddy was very sick. Therefore, mommy got to experience the mornings of most working mothers. It was definitely tiring and hard to get everything together that early!! I am so thankful for Kermie and his job! I would not want to escort her every morning. We are very glad he is feeling better:)

Ella has her 2 month check up Tuesday :(

The pictures I have posted are from her week with Nanny and Grandbubby, Granny, Ava, and Jackie, Nana, and at her Grandpa Rob's birthday party at Johnny Carino's. She has so much fun with all of them ! Thank you for taking such good care of her :)
