Our Visit to Owensboro

Friday after school, Ella, Kermie and I loaded our stuff into the wagon and headed to Owensboro for the weekend!  We were all so very excited to see Emmie Kate (and Lysnie and Robert of course)!

We ended up getting there around 7:30 0ur time which meant 6:30 their time.  It's nice getting that extra hour.  Ella slept almost the entire way there which was very nice and meant she was able to mingle longer :)  We ate dinner as soon as we arrived and took a tour of their very beautiful house.  Lynsie has it decorated very cute!  I'm pretty sure I told Kermie at least 5 times "I need one of these too"!

And let me just tell you Emmie is absolutely adorable and so is her nursery!  She has a full head of black hair, tan skin, Robert's eyes, and Lynsie's nose and mouth.  She is the tiniest thing and makes the cutest sounds ever!  It was wonderful getting to hold her and watching Ella interact.  I was actually very proud of Ella because she was much more gentle than I thought she would be.

I think Ella enjoyed the trip more than anyone!  She showed off the majority of the time, followed Robert around the house, begged Lynsie for suckers, had fun times with Brayden, and was overall a very good girl.  I so wish we lived closer than we do.  It was nice getting to catch up and watch Robert and Lynise embrace parenthood so well.  They both seem to be enjoying their new role as mommy and daddy so much and you can tell Emmie is enjoying her mommy and daddy too!

We have planned to go back in the very near future!   Hopefully the next time we go there will be more sunny weather and swimming suits on! :)
Ella and Brayden in the bath tub!  They both enjoyed it very much.
Ella wanting to share her sucker with Robert and Emmie.
Family shot with Ms. Crabby Head.  All she wanted to do was "wawk".
Photo shoot!
Posing for "picures".
The fabulous walking trail that goes around most of Owensboro!
We need one of those!
He could not wait to get a hold of her!

I love her so much!

Ella Is Already Eighteen Months!

I just cannot believe Ella is already 18 months old.  She is getting so big and smart all at the same time.  I know I've said it a million times, but I wish there was a pause button so I could stop her at each new stage to enjoy it just a little while longer.

Today we went to Ella's 18 month check up with Dr. Q.  It went a lot better this time than the last (as far as the shots go).  A fruit by the foot eases all hurts and pain :)  She got two shots...one in each thigh!  Poor baby.  Other than that Dr. Q said Ella looks great.  She had grown a lot since the last checkup.  She is now 21 lbs 13.4 oz which is still 25%, 31 3/4 inches which is 50%, and still has a big head!  Oh.. and by the way...for those of you that did not know...Ella is offically drinking "cows" milk now!  It is such a blessing.  I am assuming she will put on some pounds now!  We are so blessed to have a healthy baby girl!

She thinks she is such a big girl!

Trying hard to get a decent picture.

Ella begged Granny and mommy to dance while we waited for Dr. Q.

Nothing better than french fries before the torture :)

A typical day in the life of Ella Chase (when she's at home and more than likely when she's not):

7:00 Wake up and eat breakfast in bed while watching tv.  It usually consists of cereal, waffles, or oatmeal.  And, of course, chocolate milk!

8:00 - 10:00 Play, play, play.  Ella loves to play with her babies.  She pushes Riliegh in her stroller and her other baby in the grocery cart.  Sometimes she puts them both in her wagon and attempts to pull it around the house.  She loves riding Dora car and throwing balls around the house.  She plays with her doll house a lot and wants you to come sit beside her while she plays. She actually hits the ground and says "sit".  She loves to color and get into the art drawers in the bedroom. While she is "coloring" we try to work on learning new things. She is learning her colors and knows blue really well.  She knows her shapes (triangle, square, circle, diamond/kite, star).  She recognizes her name in print, but does not know all of the letters in her name yet.

10:00 - 11:00  Seasame Street!!!!!!  If we aren't home we DVR it and watch it when mommy gets home from work.  Ella is addicted to ELMO :)

11:00 - 12:00  Usually lunch and the Price is Right.  She enjoys it as much as mommy and Nana do.  Ella loves eating her "faux" chicken nuggets, bananas, pizza rolls, soup, juice, water, and any type of pasta.  She has gotten much more picky about her eating but still has a great appetite!

12:00 - 12:30  Wind down and nap time.  She usually lays down with mommy and we watch whatever cartoon is on that she enjoys.  I love cuddling with her at nap time!

2:00 Wake up with a big smile and ready to go!  She loves to "love" and give lots of hugs and kisses after nap time!  It is the most wonderful thing ever!  When she gives kisses she makes her kissing sound "muah".   Love it!

2:30 - 4:00  Play, play, play and snack a little too!  Ella loves chips, goldfish, wagon wheels, dry cereal and tea!!

4:00 - 5:00  If mommy has worked all day we love and play and then take a walk.  I guess it's the same either way!  We love our afternoon walk when the weather is pretty and if it's not pretty we like to stroll inside :)

5:00 - 6:00  Get ready for dinner!  Sometimes we meet Daddy for dinner out and other times we eat at home.

6:00 - 7:00 Bath time!  Ella loves her bath time!  She swims, puts her face under and blows bubbles!  I usually take my bath with her every night so this is one of my favorite times of the day if I'm not completey exhausted!  Other times Daddy does bath duty and they have a good time!

7:00 - 8:00 Wind down time.... Elmo book in bed, sometimes "baba" if she asks and tickling in bed!  Sometimes mommy and daddy get her more riled up than down!  We love it though :)

Gorgeous Weather

Today is March 6th and it is 70 degrees outside!  Kermie, Ella and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and headed to Cynthiana ( of all places ) to enjoy the weather!  We found a small little park and decided to play.  Ella absolutely loved it.  She slid over and over until finally we were hungry and left for lunch.  We headed back to Georgetown, ate lunch and went to my school to let Ella play a little more before nap time.  She enjoyed it there because there were other children playing who were just a little older than her.  After nap time, Ella insisted on taking her baby for a "stro" so we did.  This weekend is a preview of what our summer will look like---and I CAN'T wait!!
