Park, Horses, Pretty Flowers...Wonderful Weather!
Ella had a fun week. She got to spend lots of her time outside with the weather being so nice. I have posted a few pictures of her day with Nanny and Grandbubby. On Saturday, we (mommy, daddy, and Ella) all went to the park. Her daddy and I let her swing, see the horses, and she ate at Golden Corral too. She had a lot of fun! We were also able to get a picture of her standing in her crib. She is pulling up on everything lately!

Silly Ella
Ella has really turned on lately with her loudness and silliness. She loves to blow bubbles, laugh, and babble at the top of her lungs. Here is a short video of her from this morning.

Ella Update
Well, Ella is on the move and is learning like crazy. After spending an entire week with her, I discovered all sorts of new things about her and new things that she can do. Here are a few of the things I have noticed within the past week.
- Ella is beginning to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees, rocks back and forth, but falls when she tries to move forward. Instead, she scoots and goes around in circles.
- Ella says "dada, baba, yaya" all the time and I have heard an occassional "na" and "ma". She's extremely vocal these days.
- Ella is beginning to throw fits. She knows exactly what she wants and doesn't want and now likes to cry when she doesn't get her way. I usually laugh which I shouldn't do because it will only get worse!
- Ella wakes up every night now anywhere from 2 to 3 and cries until I put her in the bed with me. I have tried letting her fuss, but she cries to the point of tears! I just cannot do it! We are moving her crib back into her room soon, so hopefully that will help??
- Ella is doing much better with her naps. She typically takes a nap after she has been up for two hours. It's like clockwork. When the up for two hour point hits, she starts the rubbing eyes, etc. She does take her naps in her crib :)
- Ella has had chocolate soy pudding and loves it! I tried giving her the pasta dinner, but she hated that. I don't know if it's a texture thing or not.
- Ella's hair is starting to come in a little blonder now. I don't think it will be white like her daddy's but maybe a little more blonde than mine was.
- Ella is starting to imitate now. She will do things that I do and seems to listen when I tell her how to do something. She even gives kisses if you're lucky!
I will try to post some video of her crawling efforts and talking later this week.

Spring Break with Nana: movies, toys, & food= FUN!
This afternoon, Ella's Nana and I decided we would be a little adventurous and take Ella to see her very first movie. We were both a little nervous, but she did great! I think she even enjoyed it! We ended up going to the Movie Tavern in Lexington to see Nim's Island. Ella took her nap for the first part of the movie and then watched the rest. The Movie Tavern has a very laid back atmosphere so it is perfect for kids. We sat in the chairs that move so we could have more room and rock if necessary. We also ate a yummy lunch.
When Nana came to visit, she brought Ella a funny little chicken that sings and dances. Ella absolutely loved the chicken!
Because Ella is very intolerant to dairy and is beginning to get bored with her baby food, we took a trip to Whole Foods in Lexington to see what kinds of fun things we could get for her to eat. We ended up finding lots of yummy things like chocolate soy pudding, Tofu smoothie mix, lots of Vegan baby food, soy cheese for macaroni and cheese in the blender and some dairy free teething cookies. She sucked on the cookie in the store and seemed to really enjoy it!
Earlier this week, Ella, Nana and I went to Lexington for lunch. We ended up eating at Ruby Tuesday and Ella tried eating the lettuce off of the salad bar. We weren't quick enough to get a picture of her snatching the lettuce, but did manage this one in the high chair.
Last, but not least, Ella got to spend a few hours at Nana's this week while mommy was not feeling well. When mommy fails, Nana saves the day!

Ava and Ella
This morning, Ella's Aunt Jackie and Cousin Ava came over to visit. I was very excited to see the girls interact with each other. Ava sat so well and let Ella pull on her and grab everything she had. Ella is very intrigued with Ava right now. If she could crawl, I'm sure she'd be right on top of her or chasing her around the house. Ella was very talkative and showed Ava how she says "baba, dada, and yaya". I loved being able to spend time with Ava and watch her empty Ella's toy basket and fill it back up. And, of course, it's always nice talking to Jackie because she gets to go through everything before I do leaving me with advice and stories :) . I know we are both hoping to get together a lot this summer to let the girls play and have some time to ourselves too. Thanks for stopping by, we had lots of fun!

a visit from Granny and outside time
Today, Ella's Granny came over to visit. Her Granny had on a necklace that Ella just could not get enough of. I agree with Ella that it was a very cute necklace! They also had fun reading a book and playing with all sorts of fun toys.
After dinner, Ella, her daddy and I all went outside to play for a while. Ella loves being outside and enjoyed playing with the grass.
Ella looked so goofy after bathtime tonight that I had to take this picture. She sure is funny when she gets out of the tub!
One last note, yesterday was Chacha's 5th birthday---Happy Birthday Chacha!

A Visit To Brayden's Nursery
Ella and I went out for lunch with Ashley and Brittany today. Ashley is one of my best friends from highschool for those of you who do not know her. Brittany and I went to Georgetown together and actually did our student teaching beside each other. Both of these girls are getting ready for big life changes as Ashley is having a baby boy in June and Brittany is getting married in July. Ella had a great time at Mi Mexico as usual and visiting the girls. After lunch we all went to visit Brayden's nursery. Ashley has it looking so cute with the frog theme. The only thing missing is Brayden. I cannot wait for him to be here and him and Ella to play! Ella did get a chance to play with all of his great toys. Her favorite was the laughing monkey! Here are a few pictures of Brayden's nursery for you to enjoy.
